Around a 30 minute drive from the cottage is the infamous Longleat with their renowned drive through safari park, stately home, maze, boat trips with sea lions, miniature railway and adventure parks. It is an absolute must for all the family and you can enhance your visit with one of their VIP experiences.
For those with an adventurous spirit, why not try your hand at the Aqua Park at the New Forest Waterpark which is only a 40 minutes drive from the cottage. You can challenge each other to see who can complete the inflatable course first and try not to wipe out! They also have a Wake Park, kayaks and SUPs to hire and open water swimming – you just have to decide what you want to do first!
Beaches
The cottage is positioned perfectly to access the beautiful Dorset coastline, which boasts a huge variety of beaches too numerous to mention them all but here are a few you might like to explore.
Durdle Door – one of the most iconic beaches in the country with it’s spectacular natural limestone arch. The beach itself is pebble and shingle and is accessed on foot via a path and steps down from the top of the cliff.
Mudeford Sandbank is more accessible and can be reached by foot, bike or land train from Hengistbury Head, or by passenger ferry from Mudeford Quay where crabbing is a very popular pastime! Dogs are allowed here all year round and more information can be found here.
